Thank you for your support of Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver. The Habitat Home Improvement Outlets are happy to accept your donations as long as they are within our guidelines located under the “donations criteria” tab and they are not currently on our moratorium list. Please phone us before bringing in any donations to make sure that they are something we can accept. We only accept donations from 9:30 to 5:30 Monday thru Saturday. We can pick up items for donation Tuesday thru Saturday. * Please note that our summer months we are usually schelduled 2 to 3 weeks out.*
The items you donate will be sold in our stores to raise money for Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver. Because you received no goods or services in exchange for your contribution, the valued amount of your gift is considered to be tax deductible. Form 8283, Non-cash Charitable Contributions, should be used when filing your taxes if the donation is valued at $500 or more, in addition to any other requirements by the IRS/State. If your contribution is valued at more than $5,000 the donor must get a qualified appraisal and attach an appraisal summary, Section B of Form 8283. |
